This publication presents paintings by Veerle Beckers, made between 2014 and 2020.
I wander back down the stairs and my eye is drawn to a note: 'the valley is more fertile than the top.' A quote that, in another world might be found printed on a tea bag, but in Veerle Beckers's universe it takes on a magical glow, much like many of the other things that somehow drift into her work.
