Belonging to a leading generation of Dutch artists, whose creation was deeply influenced by the international Fluxus and Zero art movements, Klaas Kloosterboer is a multidisciplinary artist whose wide-ranging work consistently bridges the gap between abstraction and action.
The exhibition conceived for MNAC provides an overview of the artist’s experimental and groundbreaking work, showcasing a selection of pieces in different mediums, which are composing an immersive site-specific installation at the ground floor gallery of the museum. Engaging the viewer in a universe of contrasts and visual challenges, the exhibition expresses the artist's commitment to place his artistic discourse outside traditional mediums, exploring how, through decision and action, new meanings and contents are produced.
