We are delighted to share that Sculpture Movie (2021) by Stijn Ank will be presented as part of the Screenings section of Earth Rising at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin.
As IMMA notes: “Earth Rising brings people together through art and ideas to help us feel more connected, make sense of a chaotic world and imagine better ways to live, together.”
Opening on Friday, September 12, the festival will feature Sculpture Movie on IMMA’s Living Canvas, an extraordinary outdoor screen that serves as an innovative platform for contemporary moving image.
Reflecting on this work, Stijn Ank explains:
“Letting sculptures act as a mirror on how we relate to the world where we live in, brought me to a fictive place where it can be possible to still embody space and time as one — to a state of body and mind, to breathe space and time as one.”
