Documentary filmmaker Anneleen Hermans spent three years documenting Peter Morrens in his studio and during the creation of various exhibitions, culminating in his solo exhibition OEEEEEEUUUUUUVVRE at M Leuven. Her film captures Morrens’ multifaceted artistic practice, which spans paintings, drawings, photographs, installations, and performances.
Her tactile and intimate film style captures the playful and contemplative nature of Morrens’ work. Deliberately avoiding over-explanation, the documentary invites viewers to explore and engage with the artist’s creative process on their own terms.
