Kristof De Clercq gallery combines a solo presentation of the work of Belgian artist Johan De Wit with a joint presentation of gallery artists Honoré ∂’O (BE), Mario De Brabandere (BE), Klaas Kloosterboer (NL), Agnes Maes (BE), Thomas Müller (DE), Vicken Parsons (UK), Awoiska van der Molen (NL) and Evi Vingerling (NL).

Over the last five years, Johan De Wit has been particularly productive and his artistic practice has been evolving rapidly. Shape and colour are the starting points for De Wit’s varied oeuvre that largely consists of sculptures, videos and picturesque objects. His works evoke all kinds of associations, such as childhood memories, but also references to vanity and melancholy. In evoking an atmosphere of poetic stillness, the artist combines his love for aesthetic objects with everyday life.
